Notice: the veterans service office has moved and is now located in the commissioners' building at
8900-b independence way
The Veterans Service Office is dedicated to serving Alamosa County Veterans. The goal of our office is to assist and provide our veteran residents and their dependents the range of services entitled under the law. Whenever possible, our office will support and advocate on behalf of veteran issues.
This office is not a part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Instead, this office serves as a liaison between our local veterans and the Department of Veteran Affairs.
We assist veterans and their dependents with filing for all VA benefits to include but are not limited to:
- Service Connected Disability Compensation
- Non-Service Connected Pension
- VA Healthcare Enrollment
- Burial and Survivor Benefits
- Education Benefits
We hope to support and better serve our local service veterans with personalized assistance by helping our service members navigate commonly asked questions.
