PUBLIC TRUSTEE
The Alamosa County Treasurer also serves as the Public Trustee.
Duties of the Public Trustee include:
- Releases of Deeds of Trust;
- Conduct foreclosure sales when a default is made in the terms and conditions of a Deed of Trust;
- Issues appropriate Certificate of Purchase, Certificate of Redemption and Trustee Deeds.
The Public Trustee is obligated to follow Colorado State Statutes in performing the functions of the office.

The Alamosa County Treasurer and Public Trustee is a member of the Colorado County Treasurers’ Association and the Colorado Public Trustees’ Association
