PUBLIC TRUSTEE

The Alamosa County Treasurer also serves as the Public Trustee.

Duties of the Public Trustee include:

• Releases of Deeds of Trust;
• Conduct foreclosure sales when a default is made in the terms and conditions of a Deed of Trust;
• Issues appropriate Certificate of Purchase, Certificate of Redemption and Trustee Deeds.

The Public Trustee is obligated to follow Colorado State Statutes in performing the functions of the office.
