Andrew Atencio, Buildings & Grounds Director

The Alamosa County Building and Grounds Department takes pride in the responsibility of all maintenance of County-owned facilities. The department maintains 8 facilities. In addition, they also maintain Sunset Park and Del Monte Gun Club well. Assistance is also given to the Land Use department for Septic Tank inspections.

Andrew Atencio is the Alamoas County Building and Grounds director in charge of electrical, plumbing and heating. He is in charge of all remodeling projects for all county facilities. Also helps with grounds keeping and maintenance for groups like VFW, Senior Citizens Boys & Girls Club.

Andrew works with the Chain Gang program at the jail to supervise the inmates while they are out on work release completion projects such the re-roofing project at the Law Enforcement Center, and East Side Family park, in addition to grounds keeping at the various county facilities.

Andrew is always willing to assist the County Administrator and Commissioners in any work-related problems or projects that arise during the day. He is also on 24-hour call for County building and grounds emergencies and for the Law Enforcement Center.
