Sandra Hostetter, Alamosa County Assessor

Sandra Hostetter, Alamosa County Assessor, has been a San Luis Valley resident all of her life.

In the fall of 1992 Sandra began her career working for the County in the Assessors office as an appraiser. In June of 1999 she was promoted to Deputy Assessor, a position she held for several years until she was elected Assessor in 2002, and again in 2006.

Sandra ran for the County Assessor position because she wanted to continue in the same positive direction as her predecessor, and add to that her own vision and goals for the position. With her past experience working in the assessor's office, her personal knowledge of Colorado and especially the San Luis Valley, Sandra has much to contribute as she continues in this position.

Sandra is a member of the San Luis Valley GIS/GPS Authority Board. She currently is the Vice President of the Colorado Assessor's Association, a member of the Alamosa Kiwanis, and a member of the Colorado Association of Tax Appraisers (CATA).
