The staff of the Administration Department

The Administrative Support Team: Jowanda (Accounting), Connie (Human Resource), Jinger (Admin Support), Amy (Accounting) and Carol (Administrative Assistant, Commissioner Support).

The Administration office works closely with all County departments and offices to ensure smooth day-to-day business operations. The County Administrator and his staff implement policy as directed by the Board of County Commissioners, develop and coordinate County programs, monitor the cost-effectiveness of operations, and maintain partnerships with other local governments, the State of Colorado and the Federal government to maximize resources and solve problems.

Administrative staff coordinate the Board of County Commissioners meeting calendar and prepare the Board's business agenda. The Administration office is responsible for Accounts Payable, Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits. The office processes a semi-monthly payroll for employees and payment of vendors. In addition the Administration office coordinates employee benefit programs, maintains a fixed asset inventory and produces monthly and annual financial statements.

An independent auditor audits the annual financial statements to ensure the fair presentation of the County's financial position. The Administration Office assists the County Administrator in the preparation of the annual budget presented to the Board of County Commissioners for their approval.
